A Note on Netflix.

I’ve decided to try Netflix and see if the service is really great. After a couple months of using the service, I found it be hassle free, fast delivery, and great selections. With that said, I’m cancelling my membership for two reasons.
1. With the 3 DVD plan, I’m forcing myself to watch more DVDs than I would normally have. As a parent, I just couldn’t afford to spend too much time watching TV.
2. I’ve signed up with HDTV service for the football season and it came with on-demand and other promotional offers like HBO and Showtime.
I guess if I didn’t sign up with digital cable, I would probably just downgrade to the $9.99 plan. As an investor, I’m concern with the churn rate. During the recent conference call, the management refused to answer how many members have the service for more than 12 months. That tells me; not many. So, can Netflix continue to sign up more members than it is losing? I believe it can because it is simply a great service, but I will keep my eyes on the membership growth.

It's not when you buy. It's when you sell!
