As we await for the results for the last quarter, investors are most eager to hear what the companies have to say about their businesses for the rest of the year and 2006. Also, how energy and rebuilding from the hurricanes will impact the bottom line.
Homebuilders looks like it may be ready for a bounce upward after dropping for about 2.5 months now. The bad news like rising rate and the threat of new tax law change should be baked into the current price. I’m looking for a short term trade on the long side, but still bearish on the group as the rising rate and most important of all the new tax law (taking interest deduction away at certain range) still are major issues.
